Amar, Akbar and Tony (2015)

A realistic, multicultural coming-of age comedy drama, Amar, Akbar & Tony follows the lives  of three childhood friends as they stumble through life from their carefree twenties into  adulthood.
Set in present-day London, the story of three friends Amar (Rez Kempton), Akbar (Sam Vincenti) and Tony (Martin Delaney), sees twists and turns as the characters face sudden and unforeseen changes to their idealistic and trouble-free young lives.
A comedy drama with a highly original plotline and cleverly developed script, the film features established names alongside talented newcomers, and is scheduled for release later this year.

Provoked: A True Story (2006)

Provoked is the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a Punjabi woman who moved to London after her marriage with Deepak Ahluwalia (Naveen Andrews). Her husband seemed caring at first but then began to beat her up. He started drinking a lot and sleeping around with other women. After ten years and having two children with him, out of fear, she sets him on fire while he is sleeping, two hours after another scene of domestic violence. He succumbs to the injuries ans she is sentenced to prison for life for premeditated murder. However the Southall Black Sisters, an NGO which fights against domestic violence helps her get justice. And after spending 3 1/2 years in jail, she is set free and reunited with her two children. Karen plays Asha, one of the three Southall Black Sisters.
